Yesterday I was reminded that opposition can be key to growth. When sharing about Christ with someone, their opposition to what we say helps us recognize whether or not we really believe it.
So, thank God for opposition. He uses it to teach and reward us… or maybe to redirect and change us.

As a result of a conversation with a friend yesterday I got to thinking. Sometimes I regard people as my friends because they are nice to me. Then Proverbs 27:6 came to mind.
“Faithful are the wounds of a friend;
profuse are the kisses of an enemy.” (ESV)
A lot if not most of my friends are nice, and certainly kind, but the biblical definition of a friend isn’t necessarily “nice.” May me and my friends be more than just nice to one another.
“Let a righteous man strike me–it is a kindness; let him rebuke me–it is oil for my head; let my head not refuse it.“ Psalm 141:5 (ESV)

Gotta say it has been an encouragement to me (Steve) to respond to several people who say they trusted Christ as their savior on some evangelistic websites. Couple from Nigeria, one from India, Florida, Massachussets, Washington (state), couple I don’t remember where.
Ever just get the feeling you’re doing just what you should be doing. I’m finding joy in Christ in reaching out to help people know Jesus.
God willing I can be a part of them growing spiritually with God.
